Executive Director (Head Coach Team 93 & 94)
Darren Seid grew up in Long Island, NY. His youth career consisted of 2 Tier 1 New York State championship titles and a Tier 1 National Championship title. Seid played 2 years in the EJHL for the New York Aple Core where he was scouted to play at the University of Wisconsin. Darren's playing career came to a halt after a surgery led to him being sidelined before his collegiate career ever began. After attending the University of Wisconsin, he returned to Long Island to enjoy his time giving back to the game. Seid began coaching with the Long Island Gulls "AAA" program for 4 years, before he made a return to on ice duties in the single "A" Mid-Atlantic Hockey League (MAHL) as a player/assistant coach with the Mon Valley Thunder. It was from his tenure there that he was offered the job with the Chi-Town Shooters, an expansion team at the time. Darren was voted into the 2007-2008 MAHL All Star game, where he led all scorers with 7 points. Seid began coaching with the Long Island Gulls Organization in 2004 and went on to coach the: In 2006, 2007, and 2008 Seid was a US Director / Head Coach for the Atlantic All Stars "AAA" spring/summer hockey program. He is now the Executive Director for the Shooters AAA spring/summer Elite hockey program. Darren is from Great Neck, NY and currently lives in Schererville, IN.
