On July 11, 2010 the Shooters 1994 and 1995 combined birth year Midget Team won the Boston Selects Tournament in Marlboro, MA.  This marks the 2nd tournament win in a row, for the 94 birth year Shooters AAA.  Once again, led by coaches Jamie Cahill and Darren Seid, the Shooters AAA program is beginning to earn notoriety.

Team Head Coach and Shooters AAA Hockey Operations Director, Jamie Cahill was proud of the 94-95 group.  “The team’s ability to build continuity quickly is always a variable we hope works in our favor.  For this year’s 94-95 Midget team it was an advantage to have a group of players who knew each other already, let alone a bunch who have previously played together.” 

The Shooters team was heavy with Long Island players and players who had played together on last summer’s Boston Challenge Cup Championship team.  “The brain of the “AAA” athlete never surprises me.”  Commented Coach and Program Director, Darren Seid.  “The athletes at this level pick up the material at a very fast pace.  Having brains like theirs, truly empowers the coaching staff and makes the learning experience fun for everyone involved.”

The team is expected to return much of the core of the group for a chance to repeat at this summer’s Boston Challenge Cup, August 6 – 8, and add additional help from the Chicagoland area, and the Midwest.  For the Boston Challenge Cup the Shooters AAA Organization will be represented by the 95, 94, 93, 92, and 91 birth years.
