Darren Seid & Jim Stussy Coach 94's PDF Print E-mail

Darren Seid is the Executive Director of Shooters AAA and Head Coach of Team 93 & 94.  Jim Stussy is an Associate Coach for Team 94 with Darren Seid.

Jim Stussy has a playing background from Juniors in Pittsburgh and the Ontaio Privincial Junior Hockey League.  Jim was in and out of Minor Professional hockey since 2001.  His most recent return has seen Stussy skate with the Wooster Warriors of the MAHL, the Mon Valley Thunder of the MAHL, and most recently as Darren Seid's Player/Assistant Coach and Captain with the AAHA 2008-2009 Champion Chi-Town Shooters. 

Stussy was a top performer for the Shooters all season long with 49 points in 30 games, including 29 goals and 107 PIM's.  In the playoffs, Jim Stussy lead all scorers with 16 points in 7 games on the way to hoisting the AAHA Champions Cup.   

Jim is from Beaver Falls, PA and currently resides in Griffith, IN with his fiance Erin.


Darren Seid is the current Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations of the Chi-Town Shooters.  A minor professional hockey team in the All-American Hockey League (AAHL).  The Chi-Town Shooters were the 2008-2009 AAHA Champions.  The AAHA, now known as the AAHL, is a Single "A" minor professional hockey league.  Seid posted the best regular season record (31 - 11), sent the most players up to "AA" (11), won the Champions Cup Playoffs, and had the MVP (Matt Moffat) and Defenseman of the Year (Jeff McDowall) on his team.

Darren Seid grew up in Long Island, NY.  His youth career consisted of 2 Tier 1 New York State championship titles and a Tier 1 National Championship title. Seid played 2 years in the EJHL for the New York Aple Core where he was scouted to play at the University of Wisconsin. Darren's playing career came to a halt after a surgery led to him being sidelined before his collegiate career ever began.  After attending the University of Wisconsin, he returned to Long Island to enjoy his time giving back to the game.  Seid began coaching with the Long Island Gulls "AAA" program for 4 years, before he made a return to on ice duties in the single "A" Mid-Atlantic Hockey League (MAHL) as a player/assistant coach with the Mon Valley Thunder.  It was from his tenure there that he was offered the job with the Chi-Town Shooters, an expansion team at the time.

Darren was voted into the 2007-2008 MAHL All Star game, where he led all scorers with 7 points.

Seid began coaching with the Long Island Gulls Organization in 2004 and went on to coach the:

"AAA" Bantam Major Gulls
"AAA" Midget Major U18 Gulls
"AAA" Bantam Minor Gulls
"AAA" Midget U16 American Gulls

In 2006, 2007, and 2008 Seid was a US Director / Head Coach for the Atlantic All Stars "AAA" spring/summer hockey program.  He is now the Executive Director for the Shooters AAA spring/summer Elite hockey program. 

Darren is from Great Neck, NY and currently lives in Schererville, IN.
